Kathy Koenigsberg

Kathy Koenigsberg is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher committed to helping her students improve the balance, strength and flexibility of their bodies — as well as their minds. She creates an environment that embraces all levels of learning, while challenging her students to reach new levels of mind-body connection.

Kathy is a perpetual learner, and continues to advance her own yoga studies with her teachers at Stillwater Yoga in Midtown. She regularly participates in Iyengar Workshops and Intensives with senior teachers. Kathy considers it an honor to share what she is learning with her students — and demonstrating how yoga’s multi-dimensional healing modalities can improve function and create balance among the body’s major systems.

As a long time resident of Dunwoody, Kathy is excited to be joining the SusanPhd fitness group and sees the addition of Yoga classes as an extension of Susan’s philosophy of wellness. Mats and other props are available for students. Any comfortable fitness clothing is appropriate.

You may contact Kathy directly with any questions. Kathy436@gmail.com or 404-731-3043.

Marcia Sheinis

Marcia Sheinis was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and started taking ballet classes at age 5. Marcia’s love of dance and her commitment to the disciplined practice of both ballet and jazz was rewarded with acceptance to the prestigious dance program at the Conservatory for Music and Dance in the Netherlands.

Marcia moved to the United States after completing the four year program and put both her skills and her talent to work immediately. She taught dance classes and performed in musicals at dinner theaters throughout Connecticut.

In her mid-thirties, three decades of dancing began to take their toll, and Marcia started having painful back issues. She was advised to combine weight training with yoga to strengthen her core and reduce the strain on her back. The results changed her life so dramatically that she decided to pursue a career in fitness and personal training. Marcia’s lifelong dance and fitness experience is now the foundation she uses to help lead her clients on their own journey to wellness and total body health.

Marcia’s goal is to keep everyone healthy by working on form — while applying the skills she teaches during class to balance every day life!
